A Status Condition is any effect applied to a Pycotroph that is not just a basic stat modifier.

Battered[edit]

When a Pycotroph is battered, its Defense is reduced by 25% and its max Capacity is reduced by 10%. Battered will last for a minimum of 3 turns after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn.

Blinded[edit]

When a Pycotroph is blinded, its base accuracy is modified to have a 25% chance of missing, a 50% chance of a glancing blow and a 25% chance of hitting. This lasts a minimum of 3 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn. It will also be removed at the end of the battle. Light type Pycotrophs are immune to being blinded by Light type attacks.

Bound[edit]

When a Pycotroph is bound it will be unable to run away, swap out or use physical moves. Any boosts to evasion will temporarily be nullified. The amount of time that binding lasts is up to the move that caused it. Binding is removed at the end of a battle.

Burn[edit]

When a Pycotroph is burned it will receive 10% of its maximum HP in damage every turn that it is on the battlefield. In addition, it will receive 25% increased damage from Fire type moves. Fire type Pycotrophs are immune to being burned.

Confusion[edit]

When a Pycotroph is confused it will have a chance of hurting itself instead of attacking and its intelligence stat will be lowered. The damage dealt will depend on what move it was attempting but will never exceed 20% of its maximum hp. Confusion lasts a minimum of 2 turns after which its chance of being removed will increase each turn. Confusion is also removed if a Pycotroph is swapped out or if the battle ends.

Cursed[edit]

When a Pycotroph is cursed there will be a 20% chance of any move it uses backfiring. The way a move backfires will depend on the move. The curse effect can be stacked to increase its chance of activating. The cursed effect is removed when it activates.

Demoralized[edit]

When a Pycotroph is demoralized its happiness stat will reduced by 80% and its moves will have their Rare Effect chance halved. This will last a minimum of 2 turns, after which it will begin wearing off by 5% each turn. Every time the effect reduces, it also has a chance of completely wearing off. The odds of which are equal to the Pycotrophs current happiness percentage. If a Pycotroph becomes Inspired then Demoralized will be removed.

Focused[edit]

When a Pycotroph is focused it will have an increased critical hit chance.

Frozen[edit]

When a Pycotroph is frozen, most of its moves will be unavailable until it is thawed. Being hit with, or using, a damage-dealing Fire type move will thaw the Pycotroph. Energy based Light and Psychic type moves can be used but they will not thaw the Pycotroph and will deal half damage. Any boosts to evasion will temporarily be nullified. Freezing will last a minimum of 2 turns after which its chance of being removed will start at 20% and increase by 10% each following turn. Fire and Ice type Pycotrophs are immune to being frozen.

Infested[edit]

When a Pycotroph is infested it will have 10% of its maximum HP drained and given to the opponent at the end each turn. If a Noxious type is infested, the drained HP will damage instead of heal unless the opponent is also Noxious type. Infested lasts until the target is removed from the field.

Inspired[edit]

When a Pycotroph is inspired it will increase a random stat by 1 stage each turn. It can only boost stats that are at a stage 1 boost or less. Inspired will last a minimum of 5 turns, after which its chance of being removed is 60% each turn. Inspired is removed at the end of a battle or when the target is swapped out. If a Pycotroph becomes Demoralized then Inspired will be removed.

Phased[edit]

When a Pycotroph becomes phased its body enters a state that is somewhere between the physical world and Pyco energy. It will receive 20% less damage from opponents attacks and temporarily gain +2 stages of speed. Every turn the chance of Phased wearing off increases by 5%.

Poison[edit]

When a Pycotroph is poisoned it will receive 10% of its maximum HP in damage every turn that it is on the battlefield or when it uses a field skill. If poison is re-applied to to an already poisoned Pycotroph it will increase the damage dealt per turn by an additive 5%. Some moves may begin at a higher poison level. Noxious type Pycotrophs are immune to being poisoned.

Primal[edit]

When a Pycotroph goes Primal it becomes powerful and unpredictable. Its damage will be increased by 25% but it will have a chance of misbehaving. Misbehaving could involve attacking the wrong Pycotroph, hurting itself or skipping a turn. Primal will last for a minimum of 5 turns after which its chance of wearing off will increase by 20% each turn. A Pycotroph that has gone Primal cannot be confused or demoralized.

Sapped[edit]

When a Pycotroph is sapped it will be unable to run away, swap out or use energy moves. Any boosts to evasion will temporarily be nullified. The amount of time that sapped lasts is up to the move that caused it. Sapped is removed at the end of a battle.

Shattered[edit]

When a Pycotroph is shattered, its Shield is reduced by 25% and its Capacity recharge is reduced by 10%. Shattered will last for a minimum of 3 turns after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn.

Sleep[edit]

When a Pycotroph falls asleep it will be unable to use most moves. Sleep will last a minimum of 2 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 20% each turn. It will also be removed at the end of the battle. A sleeping Pycotroph is immune to being blinded, confused, demoralized or focused and has a chance of waking up after the first turn if hit by a damaging move. Any boosts to evasion will temporarily be nullified.

Soaked[edit]

When a Pycotroph is soaked it will receive 25% less damage from Fire type moves but 25% more damage from Electric type moves. Additionally, types that resist Electric moves have their resistance reduction halved for the duration of the Soaking. Soaked will last a minimum of 3 turns after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% each turn. Water type Pycotrophs are immune to being soaked.

Soiled[edit]

When a Pycotroph is soiled its positive stat changes and status conditions will be temporarily nullified. Soiled will last for a minimum of 3 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn. Getting hit by a water type move has a 50% chance of removing this condition. Soiled will also be removed if the Pycotroph is removed from the battlefield. Land type Pycotrophs cannot be soiled by Land type moves.

Startled[edit]

The startled condition prevents a Pycotroph from using a move for the current turn. Due to this, it only works if it is applied before the Pycotroph uses its move.

Stun[edit]

When a Pycotroph is stunned, its Speed stat will be halved and it will have a 50% chance of failing to attack. Stunning lasts a minimum of 5 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn. It will also be removed at the end of the battle. Electric type Pycotrophs are immune to being stunned by Electric type moves.

Thriving[edit]

When a Pycotroph is thriving it will heal 5% of it's maximum HP every turn. Thriving will be removed when the Pycotroph is removed from the battlefield.

Veiled[edit]

When a Pycotroph is veiled its opponent will not be able to tell how effective their moves are and the current HP and moves used by the Pycotroph will be obscured. Veiled lasts a minimum of 5 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn. Veiled will be removed when the Pycotroph is removed from the battlefield. If the Pycotroph is hit by or uses a Light type move, the turn counter for veiled will increment by one.

Windswept[edit]

When a Pycotroph is windswept, its Type Affinity damage bonus will be removed. Windswept will last for a minimum of 2 turns, after which its chance of being removed will increase by 10% for each turn. Air type Pycotrophs will not have their Air Type Affinity removed by Windswept.
