Rare Effect

A Rare Effect is any effect of a move that has an activation chance of 20% or less. In most cases a Rare Effect will be the chance of applying a Status Condition.

Basics

There are moves, skills, techniques, items and battle conditions which modify the chances or effects of Rare Effects. In multiplayer battles, there will be an option to completely disable Rare Effects.
