Stats are the basic values which determine how a Pycotroph performs in battle. There are 4 types of stats: Base Stats, Individual Stats, Learned Stats and Modifier Stats.

Basics[edit]

Base stats are the basic building blocks of a Pycotroph species. They are made up of HP, Strength, Defense, Energy, Shield, Speed, Capacity, Regeneration and Intelligence. Individual Stats are modifiers to the base stats that individual Pycotrophs are born with. Learned Stats are also modifiers to the base stats but they increase as the Pycotroph learns from battles. Modifier stats only appear during battle and generally start at either 100% or 0%.

Many species of Pycotroph also have a Growth Modifier which reduces all of their base stats. This modifier will reduce their base stats by a set percentage until they reach a specified level, at which point the reduction percentage begins to decrease each level until it is completely gone at a second specified level.

Base Stats[edit]

HP[edit]

HP, also known as hit points, is the stat that determines how much damage a Pycotroph can take until it faints.

Strength[edit]

The strength stat helps determine how much damage a Pycotroph deals with physical moves.

Defense[edit]

The defense stat helps determine how much damage a Pycotroph receives when hit with a physical move.

Energy[edit]

The energy stat helps determine how much damage a Pycotroph deals with energy moves.

Shield[edit]

The shield stat helps determine how much damage a Pycotroph receives when hit with an energy move.

Speed[edit]

The speed stat helps determine which Pycotroph hits first in a turn.

Capacity[edit]

The capacity stat helps determine the amount of power that a Pycotroph can store for using attacks.

Regeneration[edit]

The regeneration stat helps determine how quickly a Pycotroph regenerates Capacity during battle, both on the field and when swapped to the party.

Intelligence[edit]

The intelligence stat determines the AI of a Pycotroph as well as modifying the effects of specific moves and the confusion status condition

Individual Stats[edit]

All of the base stats also have their own individual stat. However, there can also be individual stats which are not base stats.

Happiness[edit]

The happiness stat defines how happy a Pycotroph is with its trainer. It will generally begin at a neutral value when a Pycotroph is first obtained. Happiness can modify the effects of certain moves that depend on it. Unhappy Pycotrophs may also choose to disobey in battle.

Modifier Stats[edit]

Modifier Stats exist for Attack, Defense, Energy, Shield, Speed, Capacity, Regeneration, Intelligence and Happiness. However, there are also stats which exist exclusively as modifiers.

Accuracy[edit]

The accuracy stat helps determine whether or not a move hits the opponent. At the start of the battle it is set to 100%.

Evasion[edit]

The evasion stat helps determine whether or not a Pycotroph is hit by the opponents move. At the start of the battle it is set to 0%.
